Care Session Guidelines

Every session at Mindful Care is built around one thing: your care. These guidelines help us create a space that feels safe and supportive for everyone, so you can focus on what matters most.

What we ask of you

To keep that space as effective and welcoming as possible, we ask that you come to every session ready to engage. Specifically:

  1. Stay substance-free during sessions. Please do not smoke, vape, drink alcohol, or use non-prescribed substances before or during your appointment.
  1. Join sessions in a clear state. Being present and unimpaired helps you get the most out of your care. If your clinician has reason to believe you may be impaired, they may need to pause or reschedule the session.
  1. Dress appropriately. Please wear clothing during all sessions, including telehealth visits. Think of it the same way you would for any healthcare appointment.

If a session needs to stop early

Your clinician’s first priority is always your safety and the safety of others. If these expectations aren’t met, they may need to pause or end the session, or ask you to step away from a group. That decision is never made lightly. It’s made with care.

If a session ends early, your care team will follow up. You may be asked to reschedule, and additional support or next steps may be offered depending on your situation.

Our goal

These guidelines aren’t here to create barriers. They’re here to protect the experience you came here for. We’re in this with you, and we want every session to move you forward.
