
Dr. Tamir Aldad is a board-certified psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist recognized for his leadership in transforming access to mental health and substance use treatment. As the Founder and CEO of Mindful Care, Dr. Aldad pioneered the nation’s first same-day mental health and addiction treatment urgent care model, expanding access to care across multiple states. Under his leadership, Mindful Care has grown into a multi-state network, serving thousands of patients with integrated psychiatric, addiction, and therapy services.
He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Zucker School of Medicine/Northwell at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY, and went on to pursue a fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at the Zucker School of Medicine/Northwell at Zucker Hillside Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY.
Dr. Aldad earned his Doctor of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude from the American University of Antigua School of Medicine, with additional visiting student training at Yale University School of Medicine in the Departments of Urogynecology, Family Planning, and Pathology. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was a winner of both the New Venture Challenge and Global New Venture Challenge competitions. His undergraduate studies were completed at The George Washington University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs with a minor in Judaic Studies and premedical sciences coursework. He’s licensed to practice in both the U.S. and Isreal.
Dr. Aldad’s work has been featured in Newsweek, Forbes, USA Today, Psychiatric Times, Behavioral Health Business, and other national outlets. Through clinical innovation, education, and advocacy, he remains dedicated to dismantling barriers to care and expanding compassionate, immediate, and effective treatment for those living with addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions.
